Dallas voters can cast their ballots today on a $1.25 billion bond program that we believe is an investment in the city’s future. We carefully considered each of the 10 propositions up for a vote. We reviewed the spreadsheet of projects associated with each proposal. We asked city officials and leaders hard questions about the planning around the whole bond package as well as specific questions about individual items within the propositions. Voters will be asked to decide “For” or “Against” on each of the 10 propositions. Click on each link below to read our recommendations on each proposition and the reasoning behind them.
This package is mainly for street resurfacing, repairing bridges, installing traffic signals and new sidewalks. Some of it would be used toward a program to make roads safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
This proposed borrowing will build and expand green spaces and recreation facilities across Dallas and includes funding for future regional amenities such as the Southern Gateway Park in Oak Cliff.

This funding package would add and repair flood and storm infrastructure such as culverts and pipes throughout the city.
This funding would go toward constructing two new libraries at Park Forest and North Oak Cliff, as well as for various improvements at other libraries throughout the city.
This money would pay for improvements to cultural arts facilities, including HVAC, roofing and elevators in buildings like the Dallas Museum of Art and the Kalita Humphreys Theater.
The bulk of this proposed borrowing would fund the construction of a new police academy. It would also be used to build a new fire station just north of Love Field, and for maintenance of public safety facilities.
This item would funnel money toward traditional economic incentives and affordable housing projects.
This funding would allow the city to build infrastructure in the public right-of-way to support new housing developments.
This package would fund repairs to The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center as well as gap financing for permanent supportive housing. Around half of the proposition has not been committed to specific projects.
